Our favourite iPhone apps (so far)
We're now fully iPhone 3GS'd up - well apart from Mike who for some reason opted to go with the Blackberry Curve instead (and may be regretting that decision). Neil's already spent over £90 in the Apple store on "groovy" accessories and most of us spent the entire bank holiday playing with the voice control, making videos and downloading apps.
So, we thought we'd share our favourite apps (so far), which we've whittled down from 253 to 11 (in no particular order):
E3 Top 11 iPhone Apps
1) Radiobox & Last.fm - stream pretty much any radio station & listen to free music
2) POI Lite - speed camera locations, tracks your location using GPS
3) Flixster - search movie listings, reviews and buy tickets
4) Flight Control & Paper Toss - sooooo addictive, couldn't keep 'em out of this list
5) Shazam - identify music tracks, buy and share
6) TiltShift Generator, Camera Bag & Quad Camera - create retro mini pics, get mock lenses and make sequenced images
7) Truphone - free calls through Skype, cheap international calls and IM
8) Instapaper - download web pages to read offline
9) TVGuide - very useful and easy to use TV guide
10) What the Font - take a photo of font, upload it and find out what font it is
11) Buamai - image inspiration from youworkforthem
Ok, strictly speaking that's 15 but too hard to get it down further!
And a top tip from David ZW: To take a screengrab, press the power button and home button at the same time. The screengrab will be saved in your photo library.
