e3 has been innovating digital experiences since 1997. With over 65 digital experts across studios in Bristol and London, we’re one of the largest independent agencies in the UK. Independent sums us up perfectly; fiercely independent would be even better – we’re a truly collaborative agency with a diverse team of creatives, strategists and developers constantly inventing and re-inventing. Relentlessly curious, we work in artificial intelligence, data and content, to deliver winning strategies to the digital native generation.

Our size gives the tech team the best of both worlds - big enough to work with diverse clients on challenging problems, but small enough where each team member is a powerful and important voice in delivering valuable software. We move fast and look to our tech team to keep us moving toward the future, whether that means cloud native applications, micro applications, highly available message queues, or faster deployment pipelines.

As a Senior or Midweight Developer at e3, you will need to be up-to-date on the latest trends. You should have strong up-to-date skills in the Microsoft stack, but we also appreciate diverse backgrounds that can provide a broader view on software architecture and development. Many of our clients are long-term relationships; you will need to understand and write code that follows Clean Code and SOLID design principles. You should have in-depth knowledge of many of the following:

Essential Requirements:

  • ASP.NET Web API 2 and MVC 5
  • ORMs - Entity Framework or NHibernate
  • RDBMS schema design
  • Horizontal scaling, stateless web applications
  • Web security

Ideal candidates would also have:

  • Document databases

  • Umbraco - e3 will provide training if you do not have this experience
  • Sitecore - e3 will provide training if you do not have this experience
  • Azure
  • High Availability architecture

e3 works to provide developers with the tools they need to get the job done. You will be provided with a subscription to Visual Studio, funds and time for training, a Xeon E5 powered computer, dual screens, CI/CD with VSTS, a come-as-you-are dress code, an espresso machine, bowl of fruit, and biscuit tin.

About You

First and foremost, you’ll be a clear communicator and willing to collaborate closely with all our departments. As well as working as part of a team, you’ll also be able to take the initiative when necessary. You will be enthusiastic and enjoy problem solving. You will be keen to keep up with the latest tech and develop your skills.

We are committed to diversity and equal opportunities at e3.
