Last Thursday, the team at e3 was delighted to triumph at the 2014 Autotrader Click awards, winning ‘Best Site’ for its work with Kia. In its seventh year, celebrating innovation in digital marketing and website usability, the prestigious event was hosted by rugby legend Matt Dawson MBE at the British Arts and Film Academy in London.

The Kia site broke new ground in the automotive industry with its transparency around customer reviews. As part of its ‘Our cars speak for themselves and our customers speak for us’ strategy, Kia allowed customers to post un-moderated comments about their new Kia’s directly on its site.

This led to the biggest sales increase the car manufacturer has ever had in a 12 month period with almost 10,000 customer reviews posted during that time. An industry first for customer transparency, the competition were quick to follow Kia’s lead adopting the same open review policy.

Commenting on the win, Neil Collard, e3, Managing Director, said: “It’s a real testament to the team’s hard work and ability to push the boundaries that we’ve won this award from such a well respected industry title.

“Furthermore, the award winners were actually decided by UK consumers themselves which is a true litmus test of how engaging and user friendly a site really is.”

e3 has extensive experience in the automotive industry having worked with Kia since 2004 and also counting Jaguar Land Rover amongst its clients.

“To be recognised for this award through results drawn from independent research conducted amongst the UK’s motoring consumers is a great achievement and with further planned developments to the site for the remainder of the year, we are confident the site will continue to go from strength to strength”, said Kia Head of Customer Communications, John Bache.
