As an e3 client, naturally we're passionate about the Royal Navy's new website and digital presence. However, we're pleased as punch that our industry peers share our enthusiasm with our work for the Royal Navy being shortlisted for no less than 11 upcoming awards.

Judged by marketing industry leaders at Philips, Google, Adobe & Visa, we have received five nominations in the DADI awards. This is for Usability, Best Use of Visual Design and Best Website, App or Campaign in each of the Public Sector, Professional Services and Recruitment categories.

In the BIMA awards, supported by high profile publications, Contagious, the Guardian and The Drum, we are up for awards in the Web Design and Build, Public Life, Mobile and UX categories. In its thirtieth year the BIMAs celebrate the ‘Best of British Digital’.

In response to this accolade, Neil Collard, e3 Managing Director, said: “Recognition for delivering a high standard of work on a campaign you’ve worked your socks off on is always great, but to get this response from such well-respected industry peers is even better.

“There are lots of creative agencies talking about storytelling at the moment, jumping on the bandwagon as it becomes something of a buzzword. However, the Royal Navy’s new website and reinvigorated digital presence is a real-life example of how done properly, storytelling can be central to a campaign’s success in its ability to connect and engage with people. I think this is reflected in the number of nominations we’ve received.”

The new Royal Navy website is the focal point of its new recruitment strategy, and as such has also been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel (CiPD), having been recently shortlisted for its Personnel Today magazine awards in the ‘Award for Excellence in Public Service’ category.

The winners of the BIMA awards will be decided on 18th September and the DADIs on 1st October, with the Personnel Today awards taking place on 18th November. Watch this space.
