The toughest event on the planet
So some of us crazy folk here at e3 have decided to take part in this year’s Tough Mudder. These events are (seriously) hardcore, 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie, with the South West event being held on September 21 at Glanusk Estate – Crickhowell, Powys, Wales.

Those crazy kids
We believe each team member chose their own unique monikers - and so, the full roster of e3 studio entrants include:

Rich ‘Riot’ McCloskey
Tom ‘The Terror’ Barrie
Nairn ‘Chaos’ Robertson
Amy ‘The Vicious’ Vicary
Declan ‘Destroyer’ Burns
Mike ‘The Merciless’ Gerrard
Lauren ‘The Damage’ Dowding
Jude ‘BallBreaker’ Bawden
Charlotte ‘Basher’ Burton
Andy ‘Anarchy’ Green
Tristan ‘Slasher’ Snell
Ray ‘of Sunshine’ O’Sullivan
Kay ‘Killer’ Banfield
Liam ‘Leviathan’ Tuvey
Brittany ‘Wild’ Child
Andy ‘The Fury’ Franks
Tristan ‘TNT’ Pride
Gary ‘Gladiator’ Trimnell

Why do it?
The main reason for taking part in this arduous test of pure muscle is all in aid of e3’s chosen charity, ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which is an umbrella group of ‘Brain Tumour Research’.  It’s an organisation set up in memory of Charlie White - the nephew of e3's IT Manager, Tris - who was sadly diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in April 2012. He was 2 ½ years old.

Dedicated training
A full training plan has been prepared by Rich ‘Riot’ McCloskey.  Checking in with the team leader only today, a good few months in, we can confirm that the e3 team is smashing all its training targets by having failed to get together yet for even one session, so things are going great guns. But they’re all so fit anyway, we’re sure they’ll smash it and raise loads of much needed cash for Charlie’s Angels.

The slackers
The rest of the (non-participating) e3 team will be there to support them by firing water pistols and gorging on a luxury picnic. We can’t wait to cheer them on whilst tucking into our strawberries and cream.

Donate
If you'd like to donate and support our chosen charity, please visit the team's Just Giving page. We'd be very, very grateful.
