We were delighted to take home the Sitecore Experience Award last night in the Best Government & Public Sector category for our work with Royal Navy, against some pretty fierce competition. 

Held at KOKO in Camden, the awards were presented in recognition of our role in the reinvigoration of the Royal Navy’s digital strategy, which included an overhaul of its website and the creation of a suite of digital recruitment brochures. The site is now fully responsive and tells the breadth of the Royal Navy’s story in a way that speaks the visual and verbal language of the millennial audience it needs to attract. We were also shortlisted for Sitecore DMS implementation which recognises e3 as a UK leader in this area.

Great results
Results to date are impressive. Since the launch of the Royal Navy site in June this year, overall visitor conversion to the site has jumped from 0.6% to 2.06%, organic search traffic has increased by 94% and the number of social shares has increased to 2038 per month, demonstrating a 363% increase. Applications on mobile are also up 483%, proving that the new solution now successfully utilises mobile to fulfil the Royal Navy’s goal of increasing applications. 

A great way to end the year
I’m incredibly proud of the team here at e3. We’ve done a fantastic job with Sitecore at its centre, providing a good solid foundation to support Royal Navy’s future ambitions and picking up 17 awards this year for our work along the way. We’re looking forward to working with Royal Navy in 2015.
