How we did it

The Challenge

Using our digital expertise and ecommerce experience, we designed a beautiful, responsive multilingual website for The View from the Shard (TVfTS). We also made the purchasing journey quick and simple, resulting in a 165% uplift in ticket conversions, reflecting the quality experience offered by this iconic brand.

The client came to us because their mission to be recognised as a 5-star attraction wasn’t being reflected by their website. It had a high abandonment rate on the ticketing pages and the conversion rate had fallen. The site also did not render correctly on mobile, which 50% of their users relied on.

Taking a mobile first approach, e3 developed a seamless customer experience through the ecommerce funnel, integrating the website with the ticketing system API and developing a custom business layer that ensured TVfTS could easily control the sale of their products through the CMS.\n\nThe success of the redesign was measured by the uplift in conversion rate across all channels. Comparing October 2015 vs October 2016, the new booking funnel increased overall conversion by 165%. Desktop and tablet have seen a 156% increase and mobile a 243% increase – giving a revenue uplift of £2 million per year.
