Orange Social Media Guidelines

The Brief

Orange is a global brand with a presence in over 32 markets, therefore maintaining a consistent brand message is crucial for Orange across social media platforms. To help achieve his e3 created comprehensive multi-lingual Social Media Guidelines for Orange which could be shared globally for guidance.

The Solution

The social media guidelines incorporated a number of different social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube and provided information on the design, layout and best practice use to communicate with users and customers. In order to provide direction that was simple, clear and easily interpreted by employees around the globe, the social media guidelines were produced using visual references and guidance.
This comprehensive approach helped to clarify critical brand details such as the position of the logo, spacing and on use of imagery. The guidelines were added to the brand Orange website so all employees were able to access them as and when needed. Further, the guidelines were produced in English and French to meet the language needs of the majority of the users.

The Results

The Orange brand team are delighted with the guidelines and have shared them globally both in recent communications and on their brand website.

The most recent version of the guidelines has been downloaded 377 times between September 2013 and February 2014. e3 are now in a position where the guidelines are updated on a frequent basis as new platforms are accessible or updates are made.
